Just finished off this vintage crochet baby cardigan for my little niece.

A bit like ribbon embroidery, I find that vintage crochet patterns can err on the side of being a bit old-fashioned, but I really loved the unusual shape of this cardigan. To avoid my lil gal looking like she came out of a Victorian novel I still updated the look by shortening the sleeves and choosing a bold fuchsia purple trim and a shell button to finish it off.
